About this role

Who We Are

Black Box Security is one of Los Angeles' most established boutique executive protection firms, trusted by high-ranking executives, celebrities, musicians, and public figures to protect what matters most — their lives, their families, and their privacy. We provide close protection, residential security, world tours, production security, and domestic and international travel for principals who require an uncompromising standard of discretion, professionalism, and skill.

Our agents come from law enforcement, the military, and the field — and the culture they built in those environments is the culture we operate in here. High standards. Mutual accountability. Relentless pursuit of the craft. You'll become part of a close-knit team of elite operators — men and women who understand the weight of this work and hold each other to an unwavering standard of precision, discretion, and professionalism.

This is more than a career move. It's a mission. If that's the standard you hold yourself to, we invite you to apply.

Who We're Looking For

We hire operators. The background that qualifies you isn't one specific resume — it's a level of preparation, discipline, and commitment that develops across several paths:

  • Military service in protective, security, combat, or related operational roles
  • Law enforcement — patrol, investigations, dignitary or executive protection, federal service
  • Emergency services — EMT, paramedic, firefighter, or military corpsman with operational field experience
  • Physical security operations — GSOC, access control, or residential estate security for high-net-worth clients
  • Executive or close protection in any capacity — private, corporate, or overseas

Training in defensive tactics, tactical firearms, emergency medicine, or arrest and control techniques is a strong advantage.

Your Mission

  • Can you walk me through base pay range and differentials?
  • What should I expect for weekly hours, call, and rotation?
  • What orientation, preceptor time, and ongoing unit support are included?
