Located in Lexington, Kentucky, The Ridge offers a healing environment to reassure patients’ sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and substance use disorder (drug and alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week.
Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis, days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.

Position
Summary
The Licensed Practical Nurse provides nursing care to patient within the treatment milieu under the supervision of the RN. Utilizes Standards of Nursing Practice and Care. Follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Program, as applicable to role and responsibilities.
Job Duties include
Performs patient admissions, focused assessments, medication administration, implementation of physician orders, treatment plan updates, and accurate documentation while maintaining safety and adhering to hospital policies Leads or assists with patient education and activity groups, supports therapeutic environment standards, utilizes de-escalation techniques, and ensures patient safety through consistent observation and adherence to unit protocols. Provides thorough shift reports, communicates patient changes to the care team, completes required documentation (vitals, withdrawal checks, incidents, restraints), and ensures continuity of care across disciplines.
