The Kansas City VA Healthcare Network is seeking Registered Nurses for the Inpatient Service, 5-West. The RN delivers competent, evidence-based care to assigned patients and provides oversight for licensed vocational nurses and nursing assistants as appropriate to the clinical setting. The nurse also contributes to the development and coordination of nursing education, orientation, and competency activities, and supports quality improvement and outcomes-focused initiatives. 5 West is a 13-bed unit specializing in the delivery of comprehensive medical and surgical care of patients under the care of surgical sub-specialties including General Surgery, Vascular/Thoracic Surgery, Orthopedics, Urology, ENT, and Neurosurgery. Patient population is adult and geriatric inpatients.
Requirements
RN License - current, full, active, and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia
Graduate of a school of professional nursing accredited by ACEN or CCNE
English Language Proficiency
U.S. Citizenship
Background/security investigation
