About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse for a contract opportunity in Hilo, Hawaii. This role supports a fast-paced 28-bed Emergency Department with trauma bays, behavioral health rooms, and cardiac monitor rooms, requiring strong emergency nursing skills, quick clinical judgment, and a team-focused approach.

Responsibilities

Provide emergency nursing care in a fast-paced ER setting

Assess, triage, monitor, and respond to urgent patient conditions

Support trauma, behavioral health, cardiac monitoring, and acute emergency care needs

Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to care plans

Document patient care accurately using EPIC and collaborate with the ER care team

Requirements

Active Hawaii Registered Nurse License Required By Start Of Assignment

Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room RN experience required

BLS/BCLS, ACLS, And PALS Certifications Required

Procedural Sedation, TMCC, And EMPC Certifications Preferred

Must be available for day shift, 3x12-hour schedule, holiday coverage, and required pre-start employee health appointment
