Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care for CVICU patients, including monitoring hemodynamics and ventilator management.
  • Administer medications, perform assessments, and implement and adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Document care and patient responses in the electronic medical record; ensure accurate charting and timely reporting.
  • Maintain patient safety and infection prevention standards; manage invasive lines, tubes, and monitoring devices.
  • Participate in rounds, discharge planning, and family education as appropriate; respond to clinical changes and Code events per protocol.

Requirements

  • Active RN license in California
  • BLS certification required
  • Availability to work night shifts (19:00–07:30) and a 36–48 hour weekly schedule as assigned
  • Ability to work effectively in a CVICU environment and adapt to a fast-paced critical care setting
