- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff
- Coordinate care with other disciplines to support safe, effective patient outcomes
- Apply critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily care
- Maintain accurate documentation of care, patient status, and outcomes
- Promote patient safety and quality of care in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment
Requirements
- Active California RN license (or eligible for licensure by endorsement)
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts in a 3x12 schedule (36 hours per week)
- Demonstrated clinical competence in labor and delivery and ability to supervise staff
- Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to coordinate care across disciplines
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and adapt to an acute-care setting
