About this role
Department: 35451 Carolinas Medical Center - Pre Surgery Holding Inpatient. Full time, 40 hours per week, 5 AM - 3:30 PM, 4 days per week with occasional call required. The Pre-Operative Nurse is responsible for preparing patients for surgical procedures, ensuring clinical readiness, patient safety, and continuity of care.
This role requires strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and effective communication with the surgical team, anesthesia providers, and patient. Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center is the flagship hospital, region's only Level 1 Trauma center, Magnet-designated, and an approved transplant center. Also serves as one of North Carolina's five Academic Medical Center Teaching Hospitals.

Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
