HCA Central/West Texas hires for a wide range of clinical and non-clinical roles and offers a new graduate RN residency program, as well as leadership, PRN, float, and administrative opportunities. Role Description The Registered Nurse role at HCA Central/West Texas is an on-site position based in El Paso, TX, providing direct patient care in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, developing and implementing nursing care plans, administering medications and treatments, monitoring patient responses, and documenting care in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards. The RN communicates with patients, families, and providers to support education, discharge planning, and continuity of care, while promoting a safe environment and adherence to infection control practices. This role also involves participating in quality improvement initiatives, supporting evidence-based practice, and precepting or mentoring colleagues and new graduate nurses as needed.

Qualifications Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas or eligibility to obtain licensure prior to start date. Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN required; BSN preferred), with consideration for new graduates through the RN residency program. Demonstrated clinical assessment, critical thinking, and patient care skills in an acute care or similar setting.

Knowledge of electronic health records, documentation standards, and basic computer proficiency. Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills to work effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Ability to prioritize, manage multiple patients, and remain calm in fast-paced or high-acuity environments.

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), or other specialty certifications preferred depending on unit. Willingness to work assigned shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed, and to participate in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
