The Director of Nursing is responsible for the overall direction and coordination of nursing services. You will work closely with the facility leadership team to support resident care, develop nursing staff, monitor clinical performance, and maintain compliance with applicable regulations.
This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who can balance people, clinical priorities, and operational responsibilities .
What You'll Be Responsible For
- Provide leadership and direction to the nursing department
- Oversee daily nursing operations and resident care
- Partner with facility leadership to address clinical priorities
- Monitor quality indicators and identify opportunities for improvement
- Support accurate clinical documentation and care planning
- Assist with regulatory and survey readiness
- Coach, mentor, and develop nursing team members
- Promote effective communication between nursing, residents, families, and other departments
- Help establish staffing priorities and maintain appropriate nursing coverage
- Address clinical concerns promptly and professionally
- Encourage teamwork, accountability, and consistent standards of care
Qualifications
- Current RN license in Ohio
- Nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
- DON experience preferred; experienced ADONs ready for their next leadership step are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication and leadership skills
- Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Commitment to resident dignity, safety, and quality of care
