RN - GI Lab - RMC

Presbyterian is seeking a Registered Nurse that provides comprehensive care to patients undergoing gastrointestinal procedures in the GI lab. This role involves collaborating with gastroenterologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe, effective, and patient-centered care. The GI Lab RN is responsible for pre-procedure assessments, intra-procedure assistance, and post-procedure recovery and education.

The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical skills, critical thinking abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care. Responsibilities include conducting pre-procedure patient assessments, assisting gastroenterologists during GI procedures such as endoscopies and colonoscopies, administering medications including sedation and analgesia, monitoring and documenting patient responses, providing post-procedure care and instructions, maintaining sterile technique and infection control standards, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
