Duties

Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as laboratory specimen collection, phlebotomy, imaging procedures like sonography or mammography, and sterile processing when necessary.
Manage complex clinical procedures including airway management, suturing, catheterization (including Foley and cardiac catheterization), ostomy care, and ventilator support.
Provide specialized care for diverse patient populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, individuals with developmental disabilities, memory care residents, hospice patients, and trauma victims in Level I or Level II trauma center environments.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU (Intensive Care Unit), PICU (Pediatric ICU), neonatal units, or emergency rooms to deliver critical care response and trauma medicine.

Someone on clinicals may say something that has you wondering if you are cut out for this. Do not take it to heart. A couple of bad days are not the profession.
