Registered Nurse

• Administer medications and treatments accurately, including injections, IV infusions, suturing, and wound care, following aseptic techniques and hospital protocols.

• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner or Epic to document patient information, medical records, and treatment progress with precision.

• Provide critical care support in emergency situations, including airway management, ventilator operation, trauma response, and acute pain management.

• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams for diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing, imaging procedures (e.g., sonography), catheterization, and specimen collection/processing.

• Educate patients and families on health management strategies including medication administration, discharge planning, nutrition guidance, and chronic disease management such as geriatrics or developmental disabilities.

• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and infection control standards to maintain patient confidentiality and safety at all times.

Skills

• Proven experience working in diverse clinical environments such as ICU, emergency room, trauma centers (Level I & II), neonatal intensive care (NICU), or post-acute care settings.

• Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding (ICD-9/10), CPT coding, and electronic health records (EHR/Epic/ Cerner systems).

• Skilled in advanced nursing procedures including IV insertion, catheterization (urinary and vascular), tube feeding management, ostomy care, and sterile processing techniques.

• Experience providing specialized care for populations such as pediatrics, geriatrics (memory & dementia care), behavioral health patients or individuals with disabilities.

• Ability to perform complex patient assessments involving trauma medicine, infectious disease care, hospice & palliative medicine or occupational health protocols.

• Critical thinking skills combined with excellent communication abilities to triage effectively during urgent situations or emergencies requiring Level I Trauma Center experience.

• Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation law and familiarity with hospital medicine standards like NCQA standards for quality assurance.
