Acute Care Medicine Unit is an expanding Acute and Progressive Care unit specializing in providing quality care to Internal Medicine patients of a variety of medical diagnoses including renal, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, hepatology, infectious disease, endocrine, gerontology, and a specialized focus on adult patients living with cystic fibrosis. Since 2015 Acute Care Medicine has been recognized by AACN as a Beacon Gold Unit for Excellence highlighting our continuous commitment to using evidence-based information to improve patient outcomes, patient and staff satisfaction, and credibility with consumers.
Requirements
Current RN licensure in Virginia or eligible or compact state (NLC)
AHA BLS HCP Certification or equivalent
Clin I: No experience required
Clin II: 12 to 24 months RN experience
Clin III: 3 years of clinical experience
Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing from a professional nursing program recognized by the state Board of Nursing
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred (or must enroll in approved RN to BSN program within 2 years and complete within 5 years)
Acute care facility experience preferred
