Jackman is a remote outpost in Maine's North Woods, minutes from the Canadian border and surrounded by lakes, rivers, and working timberland. Outdoor recreation—snowmobiling, ATV riding, fishing, hunting—defines daily life here. Nurses who crave quiet, four-season adventure, and tight-knit community will find it. Expect limited retail and dining; larger services sit over an hour south.
