Month eight and I'm looking at other postings on my days off

Maya on nights

The question

I'm not applying yet. I'm looking, and I'm aware the difference is getting thinner every week.

The shifts are fine now, which is the confusing part. Four months ago I couldn't finish a shift without falling behind and I never once thought about leaving. Now I finish on time and I sit in the parking lot scrolling clinic jobs.

Every thread I've read about this says give it a year. Nobody says what the year is supposed to change. So: if you stayed past the wall, what changed, and was it the job or was it you? And if you left at eight months, do you wish you'd waited?

What would you tell them?

Nobody has answered this one yet. Yours would be the first, and it posts without your name.

A person reads every answer before it appears — usually within a few days.
