Contracts commonly run about 8–13 weeks at 3x12. On the floor side, an ER contract example is 1900–0730, 36 hours a week, asking for BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, preferred TNCC, and two years of ER experience. ICU travel work has included cardiovascular units (post-op open heart, stents, TAVR, MitraClip) and at least one site that expects you to float to similar units under a strict attendance policy. Pay packaging often includes lodging and meals-and-incidentals reimbursement with a qualified tax home, licensure and certification reimbursement, a completion bonus, and a $1,000 unlimited referral bonus.
