MDS Nurse Responsibilities include: Ensure Compliance with the clinically based reimbursement procedures. Ensure that the facility is compliant with guidelines for the Minimum Data Set (MDS), Quality Measures, Medicaid and Medicare RUGs, Medicaid Case Mix, and Medicare's Skilled Level of Care and supporting documentation.
Monitor and ensure MDS Assessments are accurately coded to present a complete picture of the resident's clinical status and services rendered. Identify opportunities for improvement and best practices. Ensure that MDS Assessment procedures are followed.
