Provides leadership and coordination of unit staffing while ensuring implementation of clinical objectives and quality patient care at SSM Health St. Mary's Hospital - St. Louis. Assigns, directs, educates and monitors nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Assesses daily patient care needs and develops and distributes patient care assignments. Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies any issues that affect desired patient outcomes. Responds to complaints about patient care and manages through established channels. Department: Mother/Baby - 6W. Day Shift 7a-7p. 36 scheduled weekly hours.

Requirements

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
  • One year of registered nurse experience
  • Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Registered Nurse (RN) License - state or compact state
  • Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) or Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or NRP Essentials certification
  • Physical requirements: constant standing and walking, frequent lifting/carrying 0-25 lbs, occasional lifting 25-50 lbs, occasional patient lifting/moving
