American Traveler is hiring an experienced Rehab RN for an inpatient rehabilitation unit, requiring 2 years of specialty experience and both Kansas and Missouri (or compact) RN licenses in hand due to floating requirements.

Details

  • Inpatient Rehab unit with an average daily census of 10 and 12 beds/rooms
  • Patient ratio of 1:6 on all shifts
  • Night shift, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
  • 8 weekend shifts required within a 6-week schedule period, combination of Friday/Saturday/Sunday
  • No on-call requirements
  • Primary unit is Inpatient Rehab on the Smithville Campus with floating to other MSI units, including the ED for inpatient holds, based on facility need
  • Regular floating may be required between departments, units, and facilities as needed
  • Uses EPIC charting system

Additional Information

  • Provide inpatient rehabilitation nursing care for patients with pulmonary, cardiac, neuro/CVA, orthopedic, debility, and amputation conditions
  • Navy scrub color required
  • Candidates must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; no local candidates accepted within this radius
  • Maximum RTO of 7 days, which must be finalized at time of submission with no changes after submission or offer
  • Returning staff must have a 3-month break in service after 18 months of employment, and permanent employees must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
  • First-time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Travel partners are not accepted
