What You’ll Do Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care using our Relationship-Based Care Model Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and fellow nurses Apply advanced critical thinking and assessment skills in a surgical environment Participate in patient goal-setting and care planning Communicate and document care effectively Build meaningful relationships with patients, families, and teammates Perform scrub role duties Receive placement on our nursing career ladder based on your experience and education 2+ years of nursing experience STRONGLY preferred. Operating room experience is preferred but not required. Critical thinking skills necessary to exercise and to lead others in application of the nursing process. Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients. Licensure/Certification Registered Nurse (RN) UPMC approved national certification preferred. Fit Testing Required Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Act 33 with renewal Act 34 with renewal Act 73 FBI Clearance UPMC is an equal opportunity employer.
