About this role

An RN with oncology-specific clinical knowledge who offers individualized assistance to patients, families, and caregivers to help overcome healthcare system barriers. Using the nursing process, to provide education and resources to facilitate informed decision making and timely access to quality health and psychosocial care. Foster the effective navigation of the healthcare continuum for our patients and their families.

Qualifications

Education required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

License, Certification and/or registration: Current Alabama or Mulitstate license required. BLS required within the orientation period. PALS required within one year of employment.

Experience

Minimum of two years in Pediatric and/or Oncology patient care. Clinical research/APON cert./SoCRA certification preferred.

Additional skills/abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of medical terminology and current healthcare management methodology, preferably within oncology sciences. Ability to organize and prioritize work in an effective and efficient manner. Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
