On our G80 General Internal Medicine unit, you will be caring for adult patients with complex multi-system failure issues, such as congestive heart failure and sepsis. You will also be taking care of patients with nutritional deficiencies, which is unique to our G80 unit. Many of our patients also require ongoing cardiac monitoring, so you will be trained in Cardiac Dysrhythmia and EKG interpretation. Leadership on this unit fosters a strong sense of teamwork, and caregivers gain skills applicable to many specialties across the organization. This unit is one of only two Ohio Cleveland Clinic units to receive the Prism Award for nutritional insufficiency program excellence.

A caregiver in this position will works| 7:00am—7:30pm.

A caregiver who excels in this role will

Provide direct nursing care. Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans. Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions. Administer prescribed medications and treatments. Note and carry out physician and nursing orders. Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs. Educate patients and their families.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include

Graduate from an accredited school of Professional Nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program) Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross If in a Critical Care area an Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) Certification must be presented upon hire or within first year of employment One year of current acute care RN experience OR licensed military RN experience

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include

Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $35.50 Maximum hourly: $55.60
