Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job

• Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital travel assignment in Portland, OR

Responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care for obstetric patients across labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care, following established standards of care and the nursing process.
• Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications per orders, assist with labor and delivery, and support newborn care as required.
• Collaborate with the obstetric team and coordinate with other specialties to ensure safe, comprehensive patient care.
• Collect and analyze assessment data, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate progress toward expected outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about care plans, procedures, discharge planning, and newborn care. Delegate and coordinate duties among the nursing team as appropriate.
• Maintain a safe, healing environment with attention to infection control, patient safety, and quality of care.

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse license to practice in Oregon (state of practice).
• BSN preferred.
• Minimum of two years of recent RN experience in the field.
• Current CPR/BLS certification; AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS required.
• AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS certification required.
• Ability to work in a high-acuity obstetric/acute care setting and to cover 3x12-hour day shifts as scheduled.
• All associates must meet vaccination requirements per policy.
