East Portland Surgery Center is one of Portland’s leading multi-specialty surgery centers, performing cases in pain management, GI, general surgery, orthopedics, urology, plastics, ophthalmology, gynecology, ENT & Spine. Our facility is accredited by Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC). What You Will Do (Job Summary): The Registered Nurse PreOpPostOp provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times during preop and postop. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge Monday-Friday work schedule NO call required NO Nights, NO Weekends, NO Holiday work hours USPI offers the following benefits, subject to employment status: Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Paid time off (vacation & sick leave) - Starting PTO accrual is 15 days per year. 401k retirement plan Paid holidays Health savings accounts, healthcare & dependent flexible spending accounts Employee Assistance program, Employee discount program Voluntary benefits include pet insurance, legal insurance, accident and critical illness insurance, long term care, elder & childcare, AD&D, auto & home insurance. Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
  • Active RN license and can practice in Oregon
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS accredited by AHA required, or must be obtained within 90 days of hire
  • 2+ years experience in PACU or Critical Care
  • Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
  • Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written
