Overview

Provides professional nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team, utilizing evidence-based practices to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Assess patient status through interviews, observations, and physical exams.
  • Develop and adjust individualized care plans collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team.
  • Perform interventions to achieve desired outcomes, documenting progress regularly.
  • Ensure patient safety, troubleshoot equipment, and obtain lab specimens per protocols.
  • Contribute to clinical excellence by sharing knowledge, promoting best practices, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary care, prioritize tasks, and delegate appropriately.
  • Educate patients and families with tailored teaching strategies, considering cultural and developmental factors.
  • Participate in performance improvement activities, data collection, and patient satisfaction efforts.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with current licensure in the state.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • Strong clinical knowledge, communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
