About this role
We are seeking a strong FULL TIME professional to join our team as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care to individuals undergoing treatment for substance use disorders. This role involves monitoring patient health, administering medications, and supporting the clinical team to ensure safe, compassionate, and effective care in a structured treatment environment. The LPN is responsible to provide medical & history screens, providing routine nursing care and overseeing the medical and psychiatric management of the patient in coordination with the attending physician.

Provide direct nursing care to patients in detoxification, residential, or outpatient settings Monitor patient vital signs and observe for withdrawal symptoms or changes in condition Administer medications as prescribed, including documentation and adherence to protocols Assist with intake assessments and ongoing patient evaluations Support physicians, RNs, and clinical staff in coordinating care Maintain accurate and timely medical records in compliance with facility standards Ensure adherence to all safety, infection control, and regulatory guidelines Respond appropriately to medical or behavioral emergencies Provide patient education and emotional support throughout the recovery process
Requirements
- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Florida
- Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain prior to start)
- Minimum 1–2 years of nursing experience preferred
- Experience in behavioral health, detox, or substance use treatment preferred
- Knowledge of withdrawal symptoms and addiction treatment practices is a plus
- Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Knowledge in psychiatric/addiction medicine
- Knowledge of health and patient care regulations
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong ethics and communication
- Strong clinical assessment, and time-management skills
- Team spirit with a positive attitude
- Fast-paced, team-oriented clinical setting
- Willingness to continue gaining knowledge and clinical experience
Pay
Starting pay: $29.00 per hour
