*About the Role*
We are seeking an experienced *Travel Emergency Department RN* for a *13-week assignment* starting *May, 2026*. This is a fast-paced, high-acuity environment where you’ll treat a wide range of patients—from lower-acuity clinic cases to critical emergencies including strokes, STEMIs, Level I traumas, post-surgical complications, pregnancy-related emergencies, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
This role is ideal for a nurse who thrives under pressure, works independently, and can confidently manage complex clinical situations.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Provide patient care using the *nursing process* (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation)
- Manage *high-acuity and complex patient cases* in the ED setting
- Administer medications and treatments per protocol; monitor effectiveness and side effects
- Document all patient care accurately and timely
- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and discharge instructions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and delegate tasks appropriately
- Scrub Color/Dress Code - Navy blue
- Unit/Department specific orientation - Yes, 2-3 12 hour days
- Additional Notes - Trauma level 4, next to major interstate and infamous "Cabbage Hill"
