About this role
Clinical Nurse position at Scarborough Surgery Center providing preoperative and postoperative (PACU/ASU) care of adults and pediatric patients undergoing outpatient and inpatient surgery until discharge. The department has 10 Operating rooms, 11 Pre-op rooms, 20 PACU/ASU rooms and 6-7 Inpatient rooms. The Clinical Nurse is responsible for assessment, diagnosis, outcome identification, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care. All new graduate RNs (less than 1 year RN experience) are automatically enrolled in a 12-month Nurse Residency Program.

Requirements
- Current license to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse in the State of Maine
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
- Entry-level position - RN experience not required
- Basic knowledge of research base, theory, practices, principles, and processes of professional nursing
- Interpersonal and communication skills
- Analytical ability to identify changes in patients' conditions
- New graduate RNs with less than 6 months experience enrolled in 12-month Nurse Residency Program
