We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Preoperative (PreOP) and Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Nurse specializing in Pediatric Dental care.   • Assess pediatric patients’ health status prior to dental procedures, including vital signs and medical history review
  • Prepare patients for anesthesia by ensuring proper documentation, equipment setup, and aseptic techniques

  • Monitor children closely during recovery from anesthesia, managing pain and addressing any adverse reactions with critical care expertise
  • Administer medications such as local anesthetics or sedation agents following strict protocols
  • Collaborate with dental surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans
  • Maintain accurate medical records using electronic health record (EHR) systems, documenting assessments, interventions, and outcomes
  • Educate parents and guardians on post-procedure care, medication administration, and follow-up instructions to ensure optimal recovery

Requirements

  • Valid RN license with pediatric or dental sedation certification preferred
  • Proven experience working with children in a clinical setting, including pediatric dental or hospital environments
  • Strong knowledge of aseptic technique, vital signs assessment, and acute pain management in pediatric patients
  • Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems
  • Experience with IV infusion, medication administration, suturing, and airway management in pediatric populations
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive patient care
  • Excellent communication skills to educate families and ensure patient comfort during procedures
