About this role
VIC the PICC ("VTP") is a specialized healthcare provider focused on vascular access consulting services to acute care hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and home healthcare. We provide vascular access device insertion services, post access support services including declotting, line removal, port access and venous access troubleshooting. VTP also provides continuing education, precepting and other educational support to clinical team members and customers.
As a Registered Nurse (RN) - IV Specialist, you will work collaboratively with our customers' clinical team to resolve IV placement issues to facilitate the treatment objectives of the treating physician. You may work inside or outside the hospital setting, depending on each individual referral, providing you with a unique career opportunity to observe different treatment protocols and patient challenges. Place peripheral IVs using ultrasound guidance, troubleshoot vascular access devices (PIVs, PICCs, and CVCs), perform PICC and midline maintenance and care, assist with declotting of vascular access lines, support infusion therapy-related needs, troubleshoot IV pumps and access-related issues, educate clinical staff on IV and vascular access device care and use.
