About this role
Intake Nurse - PRN/Per Diem. Day and Night Shifts Available. Via Linda Behavioral Hospital is an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of inpatient and outpatient services.
Under the direction of the Director of Intake, the Intake RN is responsible for the timely processing of inquiry/referral calls, coordination of all admissions processes and serves as liaison to referral sources, families, payors, physicians, unit and hospital personnel involved with each admission. Duties include triaging patients, completion of assessments for assisting physician in identification of an appropriate level of care, ability to staff clinical effectively, enter calls and admissions in computer and complete nursing admission paperwork with patient. Also responsible for the verification and prior authorization of insurance benefits as needed.

Requirements

- Compact License
- Current license to practice nursing in Arizona or compact privileges
- Preferred one year of experience working in a psychiatric inpatient
- Must have or able to attain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
- Behavioral health hospital experience
