The Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide (NA/HHA) Instructor delivers classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to prepare students for careers as nurse or home health aides. The instructor supervises clinical practicums at long-term care or health care facilities. The instructor provides mentorship and guidance to students that choose to take the nurse aide competency exam.
Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license current and in good standing
Meets Massachusetts Department of Public Health qualifications to serve as a Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor
Valid driver's license
Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license current and in good standing
Meets the Massachusetts Department of Public Health qualifications to serve as a Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor
Minimum two years of practical experience in clinical care or long-term care facilities, including one year of long-term care experience
Previous experience teaching adult learners is strongly preferred
Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Experience working with multicultural and multilingual populations is highly desirable
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Outlook and virtual platforms such as Zoom and Teams
No lifting restrictions; able to stand and walk for extended periods
