About this role

The Nurse Aide/Home Health Aide (NA/HHA) Instructor delivers classroom, laboratory, and clinical instruction to prepare students for careers as nurse or home health aides. The instructor supervises clinical practicums at long-term care or health care facilities. The instructor provides mentorship and guidance to students that choose to take the nurse aide competency exam.

Requirements

  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license current and in good standing
  • Meets Massachusetts Department of Public Health qualifications to serve as a Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor
  • Valid driver's license
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license current and in good standing
  • Meets the Massachusetts Department of Public Health qualifications to serve as a Nurse Aide Training Program Instructor
  • Minimum two years of practical experience in clinical care or long-term care facilities, including one year of long-term care experience
  • Previous experience teaching adult learners is strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience working with multicultural and multilingual populations is highly desirable
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Excel, and Outlook and virtual platforms such as Zoom and Teams
  • No lifting restrictions; able to stand and walk for extended periods
