Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care for patients in the Primary Care Clinic and Infusion Clinic, including infusion administration and monitoring
- Assess patient needs, triage using clinical judgment and appropriate algorithms, and respond to changes in condition
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered; document in the medical record accurately and timely
- Provide patient and family education regarding treatments, post-care instructions, and discharge planning
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied staff; participate in care planning and care coordination
- May float to other departments within scope of practice; assist with call lights, phones, and routine clinic tasks as needed
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of Arizona
- American Heart Association BLS certification
- Infusion clinic experience required; clinic experience mandatory
- Minimum three (3) years of recent RN experience in the applicable specialty; additional experience may be required in some cases
- Ability to work in a clinic and infusion setting; strong critical thinking and triage skills (ESI experience preferred)
- Willingness to float to other departments as needed and to comply with orientation schedules
