Our mission is to deliver compassionate, high-quality in-home care to seniors and individuals who need assistance with daily living , helping them live with dignity, independence, and confidence in the comfort of their own homes.

Job Overview

Read the full posting

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to serve as our startup consultant. This is a defined-scope, project-based engagement focused on helping us build a strong clinical foundation, complete our NJ Division of Consumer Affairs registration, and launch operations the right way.

This role is ideal for a seasoned RN who enjoys consulting work, has launched or worked within home care agencies before, and wants meaningful project income without a long-term commitment. There will be a one time payment for the duration of the project.

Duties

  • Licensure & Registration Support: Help us prepare and submit Triumph Home Care's Health Care Service Firm application with the NJ Division of Consumer Affairs
  • Clinical Policies & Procedures: Develop our policy and procedure manual covering client intake, care planning, CHHA supervision, infection control, emergency protocols, and quality assurance
  • Care Plan Templates: Create assessment forms, care plan templates, and documentation systems aligned with NJ regulatory standards
  • CHHA Supervision Framework: Design our supervisory visit process and documentation per NJ Board of Nursing requirements
  • Compliance Foundation: Ensure Triumph Home Care is set up to meet NJAC standards from day one
  • Accreditation Preparation: Guide us in preparing for the mandatory accreditation required of all NJ Health Care Service Firms
  • Onboarding Guidance: Advise on hiring practices, background check workflows, and CHHA credentialing verification

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who brings

  • Active, unencumbered New Jersey RN license (BSN or higher preferred)
  • 5+ years of nursing experience, ideally including home health, hospice, long-term care, or hospital leadership
  • Prior experience with home care agency operations, startup, or consulting.
  • Working knowledge of NJ Health Care Service Firm regulations and CHHA supervision requirements
  • Strong policy writing and documentation skills
  • A collaborative, mentorship-oriented approach. As the the team develops we will scope the clinical aspects on the selected candidate's experience
  • Established professional standing network in the Northern NJ nursing community (a plus, not a requirement)

Engagement Structure

We are open to discussing the structure that works best for the right consultant:

  • Flat project fee for the full startup engagement (preferred for defined scope)
  • Monthly retainer for 3–6 months

We are also open to a continued advisory relationship after launch if there's mutual interest, whether as an ongoing clinical consultant, supervisory RN, or as a trusted partner as Triumph Home Care grows.

Why Work With Triumph Home Care

  • Defined scope, clear deliverables, no open-ended commitment
  • Competitive compensation for an experienced consultant
  • Flexible, mostly remote work with manageable in-person meetings
  • Ground-floor influence in shaping how a new agency is built
  • Mission-driven ownership committed to doing things the right way
  • Potential ongoing relationship if both sides see a fit
