Key Responsibilities

Floats to various inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs.
Provides direct nursing care, collaborates with other multidiscipline team members to provide patient care to various patient population.
Conducts and documents assessments, nursing diagnoses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care.
Precept staff from various units as needed.
Coordinates care to multidiscipline team members to facilitate and provide the highest possible quality patient care.
Requirements

RN license in state of assignment.
BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) required.
Must have Trauma 1 and EPIC experience required.
Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience required.

Champaign-Urbana is a prairie Big Ten twin city whose draw is a research university colliding with Midwestern prices and almost no traffic. For a nurse, Carle Health and OSF are the hospital anchors; Stone Creek in southeast Champaign sits a short drive from Carle, while Urbana, Savoy, and Mahomet report roughly ten-minute family-suburb commutes. West Urbana between Race Street and Lincoln Avenue, plus Champaign's West Side Park and Clark Park blocks, are the in-town picks. Near-campus rents are student-inflated; west Urbana and Savoy/Mahomet stay cheaper, while Stone Creek, Cherry Hills, and Lincolnshire Fields are the newer-home premium. Daily life runs through Meadowbrook Park and the Wandell Sculpture Garden, Krannert Center, Illini games at Memorial Stadium and State Farm Center, and a food town that earned the title—Golden Harbor, Wood n Hog, Maize, Lincoln Square, and a large farmers market. Buses are respectable and bikes work. Tradeoffs: winters are unloved, some call crime high for the size, Illinois property taxes bite, and there is no waterfront—only prairie sunsets.
