Position Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering and overseeing high-quality nursing care, supervising clinical staff, and ensuring resident safety and well-being in accordance with physician orders and regulatory standards.
Key
Responsibilities
- Oversee and supervise LVNs and CNAs to ensure safe and effective care delivery
- Provide direct nursing care by initiating and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Initiate and manage IV therapy, perform blood draws, and administer injections as needed
- Monitor residents’ conditions using sound clinical judgment and intervene appropriately
- Complete resident admissions and discharges as assigned
- Communicate changes in resident condition to physicians and interdisciplinary team members
- Maintain ongoing communication with residents and families regarding care plans and status
Requirements
- Active and valid California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Must have prior skilled nursing facility (SNF) experience
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to effectively supervise and support nursing staff
- Excellent communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Commitment to compassionate, resident-centered care
