Responsibilities
Ventilator Management – Provide continuous assessment, monitoring, and care for patients on ventilators, ensuring optimal respiratory function. Patient Monitoring – Regularly assess patients’ vital signs, oxygen levels, and ventilator settings to ensure proper functioning. Administer Treatments & Medications – Administer prescribed treatments and medications to ventilator-dependent patients.
Collaboration with Healthcare Team – Work closely with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans. Patient and Family Education – Provide education to patients and their families about ventilator use, care techniques, and what to expect during the treatment process. Respond to Medical Emergencies – Act quickly and efficiently in response to any changes in patient condition, including ventilator malfunctions or emergencies.
Maintain Accurate Records – Document patient care, ventilator settings, and any changes in condition as required.
Qualifications
Current RN or LPN License – Must be active and in good standing. Experience with Ventilator Care (Preferred). CPR & ACLS Certification . Strong Assessment & Critical Thinking Skills . Compassionate & Patient-Centered Approach . Excellent Communication & Teamwork Skills . Ability to Work Independently in a High-Pressure Environment .
