About this role

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. This position is responsible for serving as the primary Registered Nurse delivering care to patients who are admitted to the Family Birth Center. This patient population may include low-risk and high-risk pregnancies, as well as providing care to postpartum patients and well newborns.

Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans. You'll collaborate seamlessly within an interdisciplinary team, contributing to a dynamic environment focused on optimal patient outcomes. To be successful in this role, you will possess keen assessment skills, acute critical thinking, and a patient-first mindset, driven by a profound enthusiasm to help others.

Some of the duties of importance include: Conducts Maternal-Fetal Assessment, Provides nursing support to the laboring patients, utilizing pharmacological and non-pharmacological pain management, Provides stabilization and transition of the normal newborn at delivery, Circulates for Cesarean Sections, Cares for the post-surgical patient.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse: WA, upon hire
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 months of date of hire
