About this role

*Position Overview*

Also known as: Mobile Research Nurse, Clinical Research Nurse, Home Health Research RN

Gooseberry Research (GBR) is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our network of Home Research Professionals (HRPs) supporting decentralized clinical trials for pediatric and rare disease studies. Adult populations are also involved.

This is a PRN (as-needed), hourly contract role. HRPs are engaged on a study-by-study basis. There are no guaranteed hours, and participation is based on availability and study demand.

*Location*

Chicago, IL and surrounding regional areas.

*Travel Requirements*

  • Travel within approximately four (4) hours of home location
  • Occasional extended travel depending on study needs
  • Overnight travel includes a travel stipend
  • Same-day travel includes hourly wage, mileage and approved travel expenses reimbursed

*Key Responsibilities*

  • Perform study-required procedures (vitals, venipuncture, specimen collection, infusions if applicable)
  • Process and ship specimens
  • Complete compliant source documentation
  • Monitor for adverse events
  • Communicate with study teams
  • Maintain compliance with ICH-GCP and study protocols

*Required Qualifications*

  • Active IL RN license required
  • Additional compact license strongly preferred
  • Pediatric clinical experience
  • Venipuncture and specimen collection experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to complete drug and background screening

*Preferred Qualifications*

  • Clinical research experience
  • Centrifuge and processing experience
  • GCP familiarity
  • Rare disease experience
  • Home health experience
  • Pediatric infusion experience

*Compensation*

Compensation is structured on a contracted hourly basis and is applied consistently across assignments. Compensation amounts can depend on geography and experience.

Training is paid at an hourly rate.

Full compensation details are confirmed prior to assignment acceptance.
