About this role
*Job Summary*
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse, either Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN), to join our dynamic cardiac healthcare team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality patient care in an OFFICE SETTING. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive personalized, safe, and effective treatment while supporting their overall well-being. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with complex cardiac needs. The successful candidate will be supporting 4 cardiologists in a private practice aligned with a local hospital system.

- Support a group of physicians by providing communications to patients to support their cardiac status and recovery. Complete and comprehensive documentation in heal record (Epic) required.
- Prior Authorizations for all medications, Completion of paperwork (FMLA, Disability, MVA , etc)
- Heavy Phone Volume is expected as This is an OFFICE BASED JOB.
- Maintain Crash Cart and all documentation for all clinical requirements for all aspects of the office. office
- Inform patients of all test results, Lab results and manage PT/INR patients.
- Manage and maintain ALL clinical supplies for office and medical assistant and physician staff.
- Ensure proper coverage of clinical staff for daily schedules and vacation coverage.
- This is just a snapshot of daily tasks and will change frequently based on the needs of the office
*Qualifications*
- Valid licensure as an LPN or RN in the relevant state; additional certifications such as Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), are required.
- Demonstrated experience working in a physicians office is advantageous.
- Proven ability to handle complex cases involving prior authorizations as well as complicated medication lists especially for patients recently discharged from the hospital.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems like Epic is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, and cardiac medications is preferred
- Experience working closely with physicians and the ability to communicate effectively with physicians, patients and staff
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with patients’ families and healthcare teams while ensuring compassionate patient-centered care.
