About this role
Monterey Peninsula Surgery Center is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem PACU Registered Nurse to provide overnight postoperative care in an outpatient surgery setting. Responsibilities include providing professional nursing care to patients recovering from anesthesia and surgical procedures, performing comprehensive postoperative assessments and ongoing patient monitoring, assessing airway, respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and pain status, administering medications and treatments as prescribed, recognizing and responding appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergencies, collaborating with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical team members, and delivering patient and family education regarding postoperative recovery and discharge planning.
