If so, then The Selfhelp Home, a Continuing Care Retirement Community wants you! We are seeking full-time or part-time positions in our skilled nursing area.

Job description

The primary role of the staff nurse is to provide direct nursing and related services to attain or maintain the highest possible physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being of each resident, as determined by resident assessments and individual plan of care in his/her assigned unit. He/she assures quality of care by adhering to the therapeutic standards; measuring clinical outcomes against resident’s care goals and standards; making and recommending necessary adjustments; following facility and department philosophies and standards of care set by the professional nursing standards and, the governing agency regulations. He/she manages and directs care staff under guidance of the residents assigned to the unit

Requirements

Job requirements are as follows

All candidates will be required to pass a criminal background check, drug screen and physical exam.

Current State of Illinois RN license

At least 1 year of experience in long-term care, rehabilitation, assisted living or memory care facility

Knowledge of nursing professional standards, state and federal regulations pertaining to nursing services.

Proven clinical and supervisory skills

Current CPR certification

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

High level of professionalism and customer service
