About this role
Inova Fairfax Pediatric ED is looking for a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the team. This role will be full time evening position, 3pm - 3am.

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job
Responsibilities
Provides direct patient care utilizing the nursing process under the supervision of a registered professional nurse, an advanced practice provider, or licensed physician; Collaborates with the Registered Professional Nurse on the execution of patient plans. Collaborates with the healthcare team to advocate for the clinical, emotional, ethical, spiritual and cultural needs of patients; Monitors and reports patients' progress towards expected outcomes and deviations to registered professional nurse, an advanced practice provider, or licensed physician. Documents all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and assists healthcare team members with documentation; Reports changes in patient condition to the registered professional nurse, an advanced practice provider, or licensed physician and appropriate healthcare team members in a timely manner.
Delegates appropriate patient care activities to clinical technicians or emergency medical technicians. Evaluates and maintains the patient care environment to promote safety; Administers prescribed medications, therapies and treatments following practical nursing standards; Assists with patient education and discharge planning under the direction of the registered professional nurse, an advanced practice provider, or licensed physician.
