About this role
Hospice Services of Massachusetts is hiring per diem LPNs to join our agency!
Weekly pay ranges from $38 to $40 an hour. Candidate must be willing to travel throughout the area and comfortable working in skilled nursing, assisted living, and hospital settings. Mileage is reimbursed.
Our LPNs provide direct nursing care under the supervision of the RN to residents and to supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by the nursing assistant to ensure that the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Education
Must be CPR certified.
Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as an LPN/LVN in MA.
Hospice experience preferred.
Duties &
Responsibilities
LPN provides direct patient care as defined in the State Nurse Practice Act, including specialized duties related to end-of-life care.
Implements current nursing practice following a comprehensive assessment and the plan of care.
LPN provides accurate and timely documentation of patient services to reflect the plan of care.
Assesses and provides patient and family/caregiver education and information pertinent to diagnosis and self-plan of care.
Participates in coordination of hospice services, appropriately reporting the identified needs to the interdisciplinary group.
LPN provides appropriate pain/symptom management. Evaluates patient’s response to treatments/medications.
Participates in personal, professional growth and development. Also participates in the organization's quality assessment and performance improvement teams and activities.
