Qualifications
Current RN license (unencumbered)
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
Experience with respiratory management and suctioning required
Skills in seizure monitoring and medication administration
Competence in custodial care, use of hoyer lift, and working with para support staff
Responsibilities
Attend preparatory home visits with the student before the academic year starts
Provide direct care focused on respiratory needs, including suctioning
Monitor for and respond to seizure activity, administer medication as prescribed
Offer custodial care including changing and positioning, with hoyer lift and para assistance
Collaborate with family and educational staff to support student’s safety and well-being
