Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool (6-Month Contract) Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate and adaptable Registered Nurse (RN) for a 6-month temporary float assignment. The ideal candidate will deliver high-quality patient care across multiple outpatient clinic settings while collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. This role requires flexibility to work at various clinic locations within the assigned service area. Assignment Details Employment Type: Temporary Contract (6 Months) Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Work Setting: Outpatient/Clinic Float Requirement: Required to travel between multiple clinic locations as assigned. Key Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients across diverse outpatient clinical settings. Perform patient assessments, triage, care planning, and clinical documentation. Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations in accordance with established protocols. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care. Maintain accurate electronic medical records while adhering to organizational policies and regulatory standards. Support quality improvement initiatives and maintain patient safety at all times. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program. Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license. Minimum 1 year of Registered Nurse experience. Experience in the following clinical settings is required: Primary Care Specialty Care Pediatrics OB/GYN Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the American Heart Association. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). Previous outpatient or ambulatory clinic experience. Required Skills Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities. Excellent communication and patient education skills. Ability to adapt quickly to different clinical environments. Effective time management and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems. Work Environment This position requires flexibility to float among multiple outpatient clinics based on operational needs. Candidates should be comfortable working with patients across various age groups and specialties while maintaining a high standard of patient-centered care.
