The Maternal Child Health Nurse manages a case load of antenatal, postpartum, newborn, and pediatric home care patients. The nurse will complete the nursing process; assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, for patients in the case load using a family-centered and developmentally appropriate approach. Collaborates with members of the interdisciplinary team, health care providers, and community services to ensure that patient needs are met and utilization of services is effective. Provides clinical oversight of LPNs and LNAs in the home, as necessary.

Requirements

  • Licensed Registered Nurse in Vermont and New Hampshire or compact license
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • One year of experience as an RN in maternal or pediatric in a home health care setting (preferred)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Current car insurance meeting minimum standards
  • BLS within 90 days of hire
