About the Opportunity
A hospital in Southampton, NY is seeking experienced ICU Registered Nurses for a 13-week contract assignment. This role requires the flexibility to float to CCU and the ED as needed, supporting critically ill patients across a fast-paced, high-acuity environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in both ICU and ER nursing, is comfortable floating between units, and brings cardiac cath lab experience as a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU
- Float to CCU and ED as needed based on staffing needs
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient hemodynamic and neurological status
- Administer medications, sedation, and treatments per physician orders and hospital protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, intensivists, and interdisciplinary care teams
- Document patient care and progress accurately per hospital and regulatory standards
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of ICU and ER experience required
- BLS certification required
- ACLS certification required
- PALS certification required
- TNCC certification required
- Moderate Sedation certification required
- NIHSS certification required
- Ability to float to CCU and ED required
- Cardiac Cath Lab experience preferred
