The Assistant Director of Nursing supports the Director of Nursing in overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the highest standards of resident care and regulatory compliance.

Key responsibilities include

  • Assisting with the day-to-day management of nursing services
  • Supporting 24-hour clinical operations and nursing oversight
  • Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and facility regulations
  • Supervising and supporting nursing staff performance and development
  • Participating in resident assessments, care planning, and admissions
  • Monitoring quality of care and resident outcomes
  • Helping maintain survey readiness and clinical compliance standards
  • Collaborating with physicians, families, therapists, and interdisciplinary teams
  • Assisting with staffing coordination and nursing department support
  • Promoting a positive culture focused on compassionate, resident-centered care
  • Assuming clinical leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Director of Nursing
  • Qualifications
  • Current Missouri RN or LPN license required (RN preferred)
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree from an accredited nursing program
  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing supervisory experience
  • Long-term care, skilled nursing, or memory care experience preferred
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations
  • Ability to lead teams in a fast-paced clinical environment
