They coordinate the MDS, CAAS, and care planning processes upon admission, ensuring timely care plan development and documentation. The role involves observing residents, reporting changes, establishing assessment reference dates, and collaborating with physicians and the interdisciplinary team. The nurse participates in quality improvement programs, community surveys, and investigations related to resident safety and dignity. They mentor fellow MDS nurses, develop training, and promote a professional, caring environment. Administrative duties include documentation, reporting, and supporting future revenue projections. The role demands proactive communication, adherence to policies, and a commitment to resident well-being. Qualifications & Skills Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license Minimum of 2 years of MDS experience; skilled nursing experience preferred
